Your electricity bill usually combines a daily supply charge with the electricity you use, measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh) and priced according to your tariff. It may also show meter readings, billing dates, discounts, solar feed-in credits, concessions, GST and any previous balance or payment. An estimated meter reading can make a bill differ from your actual usage, so check whether the reading is marked estimated and provide a reading if your retailer allows it. For help understanding a charge or plan, contact your electricity retailer and compare the bill with the energy facts sheet for your plan.
