There is no fee to apply for or hold a Low Income Health Care Card. If approved by Services Australia, it may reduce the cost of PBS medicines and can sometimes help with other state, territory or provider-based concessions. The card does not make every medical service free, and bulk billing, dental care and ambulance costs depend on the service and where you live.
