Before booking pest control in 2026, check that the technician is licensed in your state or territory and ask for a written quote outlining the pests, treatment areas and follow-up visits. Ask which products will be used, whether they are registered with the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority, and what precautions apply to children, pets, food and gardens. For termites or major infestations, an inspection and ongoing prevention plan may be more suitable than a single treatment. Compare providers and confirm any warranty directly with the licensed pest professional.
